Marlboro Park Hospital honors Noormohideen as Physician of the Year
Marlboro Park Hospital employees named Internist Dr. Mohamed Noormohideen as their 2009 Physician of the Year.
Recognition came on Wednesday, March 25 during the Full Medical Staff meeting and Doctor’s Day Celebration at Marlboro Park Hospital. Hospital physicians and administrative team members attended to honor the physicians.
Marlboro Park employees nominated physicians for the Physician of the Year honor based on the following criteria: Demonstrates compassionate patient and family care, Recognizes all health care disciplines as partners in care, Helps educate and develop patient care providers, and Recognizes and support team efforts within the patient care setting.

Dr. Noormohideen joined the staff of Marlboro Park in July 2005. He practices Internal Medicine at CareSouth Carolina - Bennettsville located on Cheraw Highway in Bennettsville. Dr. Noormohideen received his medical degree from Madras Medical College in India and completed his residency at West Lake Hospital in Melrose Place, IL. He and his wife Nasrin and their two daughters, Shareen and Shamiya reside in Laurinburg, N.C. They are currently expecting their third child.
Other nominees for the award were Dr. Chi-Dai Chen (General Surgery), and Dr. Casey Mann (Family Practice).
Other Physician awards presented
Marlboro Park also presented other physician awards during the evening. These awards were nominated and voted on by the hospital staff as well.
Dr. Mohamed Noormohideen (Internal Medicine) also received the award for Best Record Compliance, which is given to the physician with the best documentation and timely medical record completion.
Dr. Chi-Dai Chen (General Surgery) received the award for Best Patient Advocate/Rounder given to the physician who is dedicated to his patients and attentive to them through his hospital rounds. This was his second consecutive year receiving this award.
Dr. Casey Mann (Family Practice) took home two awards winning Best Attitude and Best Hospital Supporter/Community Advocate. It was his second consecutive year receiving these awards.
Dr. Steven Glassman (Radiology) received the award for Best Teacher, recognizing his contributions to teaching both staff and physicians.
All of these physicians were presented with framed certificates.
Jeff Reece, CEO and Christi Meggs, Director of Human Resources, Marketing and Physician Recruitment of Marlboro Park Hospital presented the awards and thanked the physicians for their service to the hospital and the community.
